AND THEY’RE OFF!

Our Zambian adventure began on January 8, 2011 when we drove from Moncton, NB to Halifax, NS for our flight from the Halifax airport.  Marc’s sister, D, drove us and SD to their brother S’s house for a final visit.  AJ met us there and we took a few final family pictures. 

After hugs and “see you soon’s”, S drove us to the airport.  Once there, our bags were checked through to Lusaka, which was a bonus as we were traveling on two different airlines with no code share.  Courtesy, I guess.  We were thankful, as we weren’t excited about picking up our bags in London and rechecking them.  And so our 6 hour flight from Halifax to London Heathrow airport began.
